An improved cleanroom for XENONnT
The new cleanroom.
The XENONnT experiment requires the lowest possible radioactive background. For this reason, the detector needs to be installed in an cleanroom environment. Coordinated by our Freiburg group, a new cleanroom has been installed at LNGS recently. It fully enclosed the outer cryostat of the XENON experiment and provides an excellent class ISO-6 cleanroom working environment.
